Renewable energies such as wind and solar do not always supply electricity when it is needed – which is why flexibility is becoming a decisive factor in the energy system. Battery storage systems can absorb surpluses and make them available again when needed, which means that renewables can be better integrated into the grid and curtailment can be avoided.
Where we come from and where we want to go
Voltfang was born out of a simple conviction: Electricity becomes valuable when it is available in the right place at the right time. We have learned that the energy transition does not fail because of ideas, but because of implementation, interfaces – and whether flexibility can really be used.
That’s why we don’t just build battery storage systems. We take responsibility for the whole thing: from initial planning to operation, with a setup that fits into new and existing systems and works in everyday life. And we consider economic efficiency from the outset – because flexibility only scales when it can pay off and yields can be planned.
All of this follows a vision: an energy system that is independent of fossil fuels – not by doing without, but by making better use of energy and through flexibility that is reliably available. For us, sustainability means making decisions that are sustainable in the long term: technically, economically and in operation – without excuses, without shortcuts.
